Spruce–an Oil of Prosperity and Abundance
Jan 20th, 2009 by lindasmith
Spruce was traditionally believed to possess the frequency of prosperity, relieving emotional blocks and bringing about a sense of balance and harmony in one’s life. The Lakota Indians used spruce to strengthen their ability to communicate with the Great Spirit and believed it would bring many blessings.
I love the smell of spruce–it’s clean and fresh like the outdoors. If we look at its properties, we find that it is antispasmodic, antiparasitic, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, hormone-like, cortisone-like and an immune stimulant. That’s a powerful list! It’s pleasant scent can be used in baths to reivive tired muscles, used as a room spray, in detergents, as well as in cough and cold preparations. It has a long history of being used in saunas, steam baths, and as an additive to baths and massge products in spas. spruce oil can not only relieve sore muscles but re-energize as well.
You will be pleasantly surprised as the fresh clean fragrance of this oil and see why native peoples have honored this tree for ages.
