Rosemary Essential Oil for Keeping a Clear-Head on Your Shoulders

Recently I ran across a research study on student nurses studying for their exams. The study used rosemary for clarity of thought and lavender for relaxation with significant results. Let’s look at the rosemary.
Did you ever wonder why all those pictures of Romans showed them with garlands of rosemary around their heads? Was it just for dress or did it have a purpose. They actually figured out that learning was easier when inhaling the fragrance of rosemary. It simply helped them to remember.
Today science would agree that rosemary essential oil is antibacterial, anti-parasitic, a liver protector, and it enhances mental clarity and concentration. It is used for infectious disease, liver conditions like hepatitis, throat and lung infections, hair loss, imparied memory like Alzheimers. Try putting a drop of rosemary on your books or diffuse it when you are working at your computer. Added to shampoo and cream rinses, rosemary sstimulates circulation for the hair and scalp and can prevent hair loss. It is useful for headaches and tension as well. I think those Romans were on to something!
