Myrrh oil was one of the gifts of the Magi to the Christ child and in my opinion, was actually a gift for Mary his mother. Myrrh is an ancient oil that has been used for thousands of years to assist in childbirth. It is highly antiseptic and would have prevented infection. When rubbed on the perineum, it prevents ripping and tearing and thus decreases the likelihood of infection.

According to legend, myrrh possesses the frequency of wealth because it was considered so valuable. At one point in history, Hebrew slave midwives were forbidden to use myrrh oil on Hebrew slave women–it could only be used for Egyptian women. It is one of the oldest spiritual oils known to man. Egyptian women being desert dwellers, would use myrrh oil on their skin to prevent wrinkles and to keep their skin soft in the harsh desert air. today it is used in a lot of expensive skin care products for that very ability to smooth out wrinkles.

Myrrh oil can help spiritually usher in abundance in your life. Try anointing yourself with myrrh oil. It has a gentle caming effect and can be used ti instill deep tranquility, inner stillness and peace.
