Muscles Aches–Are We Taking Enough Time for Ourselves?
Nov 1st, 2008 by lindasmith
This week I took a day off and went to the mountains with a friends to presumably take some down time. What happened was I developed a migraine headache the next day! Hmmm. Well that is always a signal to me that I am pushing too hard and when I do try to relax–my body rebels either through muscle aches and pains or my really weak spot–migraine headaches. Of course the solution is to have more balance in my life between work, play and exercise. I do ok on the work and the exercise parts–it’s the play part which is difficult for me.
So how can we bring balance into our lives and not have to suffer the consequences of working too hard?
The oils can help. Are you using them on a daily basis?
Young Living’s Aroma Siez blend is my favorite for muscle aches. It contains peppermint, marjoram, basil, lavender and cypress. Just rubbing it on my tight shoulder or neck brings almost instantaneous relief. Another great blend is Relieve It blend which contains spruce, pepper, peppermint and hyssop. The black pepper in this oil makes it a bit tingling and acts as an irritant. It actually has anti-inflammatory and pain-blocking actions. Of course single oils may do the trick as well. I like lavender and peppermint. Recently Young Living came out with a Lavender-Peppermint blend which has become a favorite of mine.
Do yourself a favor and use the oils everyday–not just when you think about it. The oils carry a high vibrational frequency and can actually raise our vibrations to deal with the many stresses in our lives. And remember to smell the roses, or in this case smell the oils!
