Yes, you read correctly–the three oils given by the Magi as gifts fitting for the Christ child were frankincense, myrrh and liquid gold, better known as balsam fir. Research shows that these three essential oils were found in King Tutankhamen’s grave when it was opened in 1922. So in ancient times, these were considered oils fit for the king and were considered of royal nature. They were so important that they were the only oils placed in the King’s tomb. What does this have to do with cancer?

Look at the chemistry and then look at the vibrational frequencies of these oils. Frankincense and balsam fir are both very high in monoterpenes whereas myrrh is very high in sesquiterpenes. You will find that they are all highly anti-inflammatory and anti-tumoral. They are all immune stimulating, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal oils. Check out the research and you will find numerous studies showing anti-carcinogenic and anti-tumor activities with one or more of these kingly oils. Most recently a study made news showing that boswellia carteri (frankincense) kills bladder cancer cells without affecting non-cancerous cells.

Now I understand why these were the gifts given to the “new king.” They are the best of what nature has to offer. These three oils can keep us healthy and are a sign of “wealth.” This was not only an acknowledgement of Jesus as the long-awaited Messiah, but was meant to help him stay healthy for his task here on earth.
